Columbia Heights Local 710 was established in 1942. Our local is comprised of: Columbia Heights High School, Columbia Academy, Highland Elementary, North Park School For Innovation, Valley View Elementary, and The Family Center. Our current membership is approximately 230 members. Local 710 is here to support our members.
Local 710 Executive Officers
The Local 710 Executive Council consists of officers, building representatives, a governmental liaison, and a Teacher of Color Affinity Group representative. This council meets monthly to discuss our union issues.
The officers and other members of the executive council are elected by our membership every two years.

Labor Management Committee
Labor Management takes building specific concerns to monthly administration communication meetings. They also take our non-contract labor concerns to the District Labor Management meetings each month.

Negotiations Committee
The Negotiations Committee is charged with polling the membership on contract issues, compiling those issues, and creating a package to use in contract negotiations with ISD #13. They meet with ISD #13 starting in May and continuing until a fair and equitable settlement is reached.
