We had 30 members attend the negotiations meeting on Monday evening as observers, and we made the small training room feel full of union pride! Nevertheless, the district proposals were nowhere near any of our union demands, so negotiations will continue. This contract negotiation year has proved to be a long process for many other metro-area districts, and we are not alone in fighting for better wages and working conditions for our members!
